I'm going to come out and say this bluntly. Don't expect anything special for christmas this year other than some themed drawings. I have the Sofi flash to focus on right now. And my HDD is scratching itself to death, so I need to replace it very soon. I can however promise that the Lollo flash will be released in December. I only need Mittsies to do a few tweaks to it and it'll be ready for release! Wahoo!

I don't have a lot to report today. I started to redesign Ellie's working clothes and making her a new profile image, since the old one is... Not that great. Zara and Lollo will receive upgrades as well, with Zara seeing the most changes probably. I'm trying to change her hairdo into something less obstructive and easier to draw as well as making a few changes to her clothes.

I've sketched some stuff too. A few of them turned out to be some bigger projects so they might take a while, but here are two that I finished today!

I'm getting close to collecting the last things I need before the Lollo flash can be coded and completed. All that's left right now, is voiceclips from one dude, who hopefully can do his stuff tonight! Mittsies has said he'll try to code my project beginning tomorrow, if his schedule is on track! So I feel we're getting very near wrapping things up. Finally.

Mine's not so happy, with how things are currently turning out, bleh. No recordings yet, due to unfortunate events in VA's life. I'm going to have to start up on something small side project, I think. Hope that goes better. It'll keep me busy at least.

But, I've at least had a lot of time to finally catch up on all the drawings I've had on my list. So far, I've sketched them all up and I think I've finished up around 45% of them, so that's nice. I made some changes with the sketch I showed off last week too, and I think I'm happy with the changes I made to Zara's bangs. They're less obtrusive and easier to draw! Along with some changes to her clothing, but I guess it won't show as well here in this sketch, since they're all pulled up or ripped apart. I feel like these are good enough to keep as a permanent change at least.

Yeah, things went awry for a while there, with the website and such. But I'm going to try and see if I can't get some money together and pay somebody who actually knows their shit to make an useable site for us all to enjoy. It'll be around 10 000 SEK, which is around 1150 USD/1050 EUR for comparison. Blerf.

I just recently moved too, so I've been setting up and getting used to my new place. Its going well so far! But, my scanner died in the process, so I can't upload the drawing I finished for today. Very frustrating.

But eh, you can have this instead. I worked on it for a week or so while the site was down and inbetween packing.

There are subtitles for you english people, so you can perhaps "understand" what is happening.

Very rare to get Sixten fanarts! So it is nice to see some once in a while! This one reminds me of Jerry Seinfeld though, something with the face... Just reminds me of that.


But alright. Let's talk about 2016. The first half seemed to just disappear from me. I was in some sort of depression state. Made a single short flash. Then I started up Zu & Zeta's Zoological Zone. I wanted it to be a short project, but it turned out to taking a whole lot longer than I expected. Mostly because I thought a simple thing was actually THE most complicated thing. Or at least, tediuos thing. I also got a fling of inspiration and wanted to make easter eggs for the flash! I got so inspired that I actually made the whole easter egg part BEFORE the main event.

And just when I finished it, my harddrive died. Everything on it was lost. But luckily, I had put that easter egg part in my dropbox for coding purposes, so it made it through unscathed. Incredible luck, for once. If I had lost all of that... I don't think I'd ever want to make anything else ever again. Is enough to make me shudder.

The things I did lost within the main project was just a little bit of basic animation and a new pose for Zu, which I had taken a lot of screenshots of. It was just for me to trace it back up again. I've made quite some progress on it since then, but I hit a point where I just wasn't sure if things looked good enough in motion; I need coding to check if the thing actually animates well. Continuing before I know that would be quite terrible if it turned out I needed to reanimate stuff in the middle of all the progress.

It was at that point that I noticed that it is very difficult to get ahold of people who know to code things in AS3! Since the beginning of december I've been waiting for my main coder to become free enough from school to be able to do some coding for me. So all I can do is wait at this point, and make like... Improvements to side stuff or work on other projects. That's how the ZZZZ situation is like.

And then we've got Butt Bus. A flash I've talked a lot about, ya? Well, since I've decided to made the jump from game-style to movie-style a lot of details have changed. Most noteable is that I plan on using characters from people who've supported and made fan art or similiar things for me. The second thing is that I'll be able to use a lot of more creativity with it! I plan on giving each character a cameo fucking Zara, either solo or with others, depending on what kind of character they are. I've also written up a little script for this... I think I might be overdoing it again, but I guess I'll have to be more efficient on making each scene simple but impactful. And if it turns out to be too much, I'll have to try cut things out and rework parts.

But I need to finish ZZZZ before I start with that! Which will PROBABLY take quite a while at this pace. I hope the time it takes will make it so that it's a good flash, though...

And to further pad out my workpace, I want to make a little collab flash with a certain person for a certain holiday. Using a character that's seldom seen in flashes. Just to get something out in the near future... But we'll see how that goes!

Other things to mention... Remember how I asked about music for ZZZZ? Only one of the four or so people offering their musical talents actually went through with their offer. The one track I got is really good though! So if there's anybody else up for the task, do tell me so! I need at least one more track for the flash, since I want a different track from the easter egg part and the main part.

I can't think of anything else of value to say right now. So I hope this puts some light on what's been going on during last quarter of 2016. And yea I know I'm one day late with the update, but I was really tired yesterday.

So for now, have a jolly time! I'mma go and... Do stuff, I guess.

I took your feedback about the new Ellie skincolor to heart and will be looking into changing it to something less banana-ish. I'll have to find something better soon, because I'll start off 2019 by finishing a sideproject flash involving her!

I'm also sorry about the Lollo flash still not being released! A weird bug came up that ruins the the mood quite awfully and Mittsies hasn't gotten around to figuring out what makes it happen yet.

Hopefully 2019 will be a better year for me. I'm awaiting some computer parts to fix some issues I've had for a long time, which is why I've put the Zoo Beta Scene on hold for a little while. It takes awful long to save on my other harddrive, making it very bulky to work with when you gotta wait like 10 minutes each time you save the damn thing. They sure are taking their time delivering the packages, perhaps it's because of the christmas season? It's always chaos during it.
But like I said, I'm going to work on the smaller project until then. Hope you've had a good 2018, and here's to a better 2019!

I wasn't working my usual schedule, so I forgot which day it was, drat.
Well, since it is almost a new year soon, I'm posting the update now! I don't have anyting special to share, so I'll keep it short.

The Rock n' Raz episode is complicated, so it's gonna take a bit longer to finish than I thought first... But I'm working on it at least. We'll see when it gets done. I don't want to completely forego the Zu & Jo part, which I'm nearing an important milestone in. So I might switch back and forth between those two once next year comes around.

Hope you all had a nice New Year's Eve! I spent mine with a bunch of friends, and it was generally pleasant! Kinda needed the next day just to wind down from all the social interaction... Not used to that all that much. But things are settling down back to normal so it's time to get back into things again!

I'll also continue working on the Zu&Jo part! Perhaps I'll return to doing some streaming again, couldn't really do that the last couple of months since testing the game and getting it ready for release isn't really a streaming friendly process.

There are also a bunch of other minor things that I won't bother mentioning, but that I still have to do, blegh.

Thanks for all the feedback on the HHHW release, by the way! It's unfortunate that there are so many people who are unable to play them, but we're gonna look at your error reports and see what we can do with 'em. We want the majority of people to be able to play it, after all!
Also unfortunate is that the whole being unable to play it thing has been the main topic, so not a lot of feedback on the flash itself has actually been posted or discussed! But I am grateful for the little we did get and we'll do changes where we can. A lot of people do ask for things that just aren't possible to change or add, so you're always gonna disappoint somebody. But that's limitations for ya. I'm just one guy doing all of the art and animations, after all.

Uploading the new version of the game on RC.se has been a struggle. It's so old that we're running into constant problems, being out of date and what not. My tech boys have been at it over new years though, so now it's up. Much kudos to them!

HHHW 2023 December Update

We're still taking on feedback and bug reports and such. We'll be working on fixing and tweaking things over time here.

I've been struggling with extreme brain slog this last week. I dunno what it is, but I can't stay focused on anything for more than a short while. It is very annoying, I'm getting behind on various side projects I want to finish.

I've made enough progress on one thing though, and that's a new Zara ref. I've been slightly re-designing her, and I think I've reached a stage where I'm really happy with her. The main problem I've had with her for a long time is her hair, specifically the sideburns. With the help of friends and fans we made some adjustments that were small but very impactful.
I better just show it off, so you can have a look and tell me what you think.


I think this makes her look more... Feminine and mature. I also had her colors slightly adjusted. Less yellowy hair and more blonde now. Good thing I didn't get too far on the Zara remake, since making changes will not be as painful now!

I've got some other things in store that I'm working on, but I'll save that for when I made some more progress on them.
