I've now recieved voice recordings for Zu for the Zu&Jo part, I was planning on going through them this weekend, but I got caught up in drawing instead. So I'll get to those tomorrow.
I and Fallow have been experimenting with the Zu&Jo part a bit, by making the animation loops change speed to inject some variety into it.
While doing this, I noticed that the dog animations looked kind of crap with this system... And they looked really bad in retrospect in general, so I'm currently remaking those animations. Hopefully a procedure that won't take too long. Means the facial animations stuff is getting delayed further tho, frustrating. Sometimes I wish I had a third person who could do some of that stuff to help make progress faster. Bleh.

Anyway, here's the aforementioned drawing:

By the way, I am going to have custom body writing/doodles and such on Zu&Jo, and I am allowing people to design their own to put on them if they so wish. Rules I copypasted:

Wanna design a tattoo or body doodle for Zu&Jo to wear in game? Here's your chance to do so!
Make sure that the final design fits within a circle the size of 74x74 pixels; template image provided.
Remove the white color and make sure that the image is a transparent PNG.
You can draw fancy tattoo designs, or make crude doodles, or simply write some text.
The theme is farm, with human, dog, pig and horse as options. But you do not have to make the design farm related.
Make sure that they are tasteful, otherwise I might not include it.

I've spent last week working on a fun little animation, completely separate from the horse project. It shouldn't take too long to finish up, I'm hoping, FallowWing is looking at it right now. My estimate is that it'll be done by the end of the week, but I can't be sure since I don't know much about the coding side of things...

Dinner with Zoo

Well, it was nice with a change of pace for once, so I'm going back to the Zu&Jo again now.
Woo.

When you think you're done, there's always more things popping up that you gotta look over, tweak and make.
Such has the case been with Zu&Jo's part progress, I was hoping to start lipsyncing, but it turned out there was a bunch of other things that needed my attention first!

Been working out something interesting that'll be exclusive for Zu&Jo's part that I'm hoping will add some fun, some custom body writing/doodle placement. Which means I gotta come up with a bunch of stuff and draw all of it, but... still.

I've also been thinking of expanding the number of skins available for the horsedicks. I'm rather colorblind so it's difficult for me to make some good ones, but perhaps if I make a template, fans might be able to provide colors and patterns for me to use.

Let me know what you think about that.

Sorry for skipping updating last sunday, but I was feeling off last week. Was feeling real drowsy and slept more than I was awake. I'm back to my normal self now again though!
I think I've pretty much finished all of the animation stuff for Zu&Jo's part. I should now get into the technical stuff, like making sure animations play properly, balance out numbers and stuff, lipsync and do sound editing... Not really the most exciting stuff. But it's gotta be done, so I shall begin getting into that tomorrow!

Been sketching n' stuff, but I have not finished much yet, since I'm waiting response from commissioners before I finalize things.

A lot of stuff today, for sure.
I'm still making progress on the Zu&Jo part. Got most of the mouth stuff done, so it'll be done soon.
After that remains making a bunch of other animation details. It doesn't feel like there's a lot left, but there's gonna be a lot of testing and tweaking included... So who knows.

After being a mostly snowless winter, there suddenly came in a whole bunch yesterday. Feels a bit late... Just like this update, I guess. I'm really bad at getting these done on sunday nights, but I always am too busy or tired to write 'em. Blahgh.

I did finish up those animations, once I got into the groove again it went smoother than I expected. Now, I return to making mouth animations... Jo needs to get some expressions made. Was thinking of streaming some today, but it got real late all of a sudden, so I'll save it for tomorrow.

Catching Up, Trixie has a revelation.

Going back and trying to fix, edit or making new animations with old assets isn't always easy - after some time you've forgotten the flow you were going through when making it, and you sort of have to re-discover the efficiency you had at the time when everything was still in basic mode. This is what I've been attempting to do, and I've snail paced my way through one of the animations I wasn't happy with. Only three left to go. I sure hope I don't need to do more... Getting through the miscellaneous small details is what I'd like to do next, but eh. Hopefully I'll get through these fast enough.

I've been going around VA hunting for a voice for Zara, since the old one didn't wanna do the role anymore. But the last couple of VAs that were interested in doing it, they ghost me after a while, for no apparent reason. Very frustrating.

I've mainly got some updates to character art and such today, because most of the other stuff I've been doing is just progress on flash and arts. I'm currently waiting on some voice clips before I can continue doing mouth stuff, though. But I want to redo some animations that didn't look very good in action, so... I gotta make the animation twice now for both Zu and Jo :C

Well, anyway, I've updated some bios - Mikaela's is the most noticeable since I kinda rewrote a lot of her backstory. It's hopefully better than before, but I'm open to hear some feedback on it as well. Writing is hard.

I finished cutting up Jo's voice clips, and there's almost a thousand clips in total.
I don't think Zu's voice clips will reach that amount, but, you never know.

Spent the last two weekends touching up Lollo and Psycho Girl's profile images and summaries!




I also updated Psycho Girl's backstory and some other stuff about her - she's now a mute instead of just choosing not to speak. I'm not quite done with the changes to her bio though, but it'll probably be done soon.

I've finished up both Zu and Johanna's eye animations, woo!
Now I gotta make their mouth animations! They can share phoneme animations, but they'll have unique expressions, so I gotta plan out all that before I begin!

Still awaiting recordings from VAs though, I hope I hear back from them soon.

Been sketching some stuff too, so perhaps I'll have some drawings to show off for next update, we shall see!

I try to get a few hours of progress streaming in every day from monday to friday. Currently working on Johanna's eye animations, I'd say I'm around halfway done with 'em. They have unique eye expressions, but they'll probably share phoneme animations, no reason to create double the amount of those. I'll give 'em different static mouths though, smiles and such.

I'll also continue working on the Zu&Jo part! Perhaps I'll return to doing some streaming again, couldn't really do that the last couple of months since testing the game and getting it ready for release isn't really a streaming friendly process.

There are also a bunch of other minor things that I won't bother mentioning, but that I still have to do, blegh.

Thanks for all the feedback on the HHHW release, by the way! It's unfortunate that there are so many people who are unable to play them, but we're gonna look at your error reports and see what we can do with 'em. We want the majority of people to be able to play it, after all!
Also unfortunate is that the whole being unable to play it thing has been the main topic, so not a lot of feedback on the flash itself has actually been posted or discussed! But I am grateful for the little we did get and we'll do changes where we can. A lot of people do ask for things that just aren't possible to change or add, so you're always gonna disappoint somebody. But that's limitations for ya. I'm just one guy doing all of the art and animations, after all.

I've been awake for too long, I can't recall what I've been doing last week at all.
What I know now at least is that most of the bugs on Sofi have been smoothed out. I can't imagine anything else will be popping up once these last things have been patched up.
o ye now I remember what I did most of the week, I was messing around with the sound stuff. That was completely awful, I had to cut the silence out of up to 700 sound files, and the go back into the editor and check that every voice line was still matching the lipsyncing. Absolutely soul draining, no wonder I had repressed those memories.

Anyway, Fallow's gonna be away for a bit during this week, so I'm gonna try to finish up what's left on my to draw list. I've got almost everything sketched up, so I just gotta clean 'em up. Look forward to that!

I had sleeping issues these last few days, so days kinda blended together and I was all around tired. But I'm still here.
Let's see, what do we got for today... A bunch of drawings, it seems!

I'm hoping to get rid of that to-draw list before the year is over! I even put some of the more complex ones onto the next list to make it less heavy... It's just now resulted in the next list being 20 items long instead... Drat. Well, I'll keep myself busy next year too I guess.

Game news: Those sounds I've been looking forward to made for further problems as added silence to the end of each sound file had unforeseen consequences in game... So now I gotta go through each individual soundfile and cut away that silence... Over 500 of them. Blergh.
Still, bugs pop up, tweaks are still made and there are still a few small things that needs to be made!
It's a neverending cycle of things popping up and creating issues where there were none before. Still, it should at least be able to be released during this year. Otherwise I'll be gravely disappointed.

Anyway, FallowWing is running out of things to do while I'm gonna animate the next part of the project, so we're thinking of starting up a small side project. We're thinking of doing a small RPG game featuring the catgirls and various other things and characters in the city and lore I've created.
However, we need people for that! If you're interested in game design, sprite making, writing or other useful game making things, do send me a message on discord. FallowWing is working on a custom engine to make the process as smooth and easy as possible.
It'll be a fun and smutty game, if we can get it going.
