Next sunday, we'll push out a demo. Even if there are some bugs still persisting, they're probably so minor that they won't bother anyone. And we'll fix those bugs later on and release another demo with those bugs fixed. First week will be patreon exclusive, though.

I've been awake for too long, I can't recall what I've been doing last week at all.
What I know now at least is that most of the bugs on Sofi have been smoothed out. I can't imagine anything else will be popping up once these last things have been patched up.
o ye now I remember what I did most of the week, I was messing around with the sound stuff. That was completely awful, I had to cut the silence out of up to 700 sound files, and the go back into the editor and check that every voice line was still matching the lipsyncing. Absolutely soul draining, no wonder I had repressed those memories.
Anyway, Fallow's gonna be away for a bit during this week, so I'm gonna try to finish up what's left on my to draw list. I've got almost everything sketched up, so I just gotta clean 'em up. Look forward to that!

I had sleeping issues these last few days, so days kinda blended together and I was all around tired. But I'm still here.

I'm hoping to get rid of that to-draw list before the year is over! I even put some of the more complex ones onto the next list to make it less heavy... It's just now resulted in the next list being 20 items long instead... Drat. Well, I'll keep myself busy next year too I guess.
Game news: Those sounds I've been looking forward to made for further problems as added silence to the end of each sound file had unforeseen consequences in game... So now I gotta go through each individual soundfile and cut away that silence... Over 500 of them. Blergh.
Still, bugs pop up, tweaks are still made and there are still a few small things that needs to be made!
It's a neverending cycle of things popping up and creating issues where there were none before. Still, it should at least be able to be released during this year. Otherwise I'll be gravely disappointed.
Anyway, FallowWing is running out of things to do while I'm gonna animate the next part of the project, so we're thinking of starting up a small side project. We're thinking of doing a small RPG game featuring the catgirls and various other things and characters in the city and lore I've created.
However, we need people for that! If you're interested in game design, sprite making, writing or other useful game making things, do send me a message on discord. FallowWing is working on a custom engine to make the process as smooth and easy as possible.
It'll be a fun and smutty game, if we can get it going.

Zealous Zuccubus, Beleth turns Zu into a succubus!

So I'm waiting for those to arrive so I can have the sound guy look over them. Pleh, sometimes it is the most unexpected things that set you back.

Keep seeing comments wondering about how and where you will be able to play the game.
The whole reason we've been doing this new engine thing is to have it be playable both on your PC and in browsers via html5. I'm still working in flash, but it's not exported as an swf any longer, so Fallow has worked on optimization and other visual problems along with the animation coding. So don't worry about that, you'll be able to play any new releases on most things.
Right now, I'm unsure if I'll be able to add new SFX before the demo releases. Sound guys are being rather... unmanageable. Would be quite a shame if they don't deliver on time, since I don't want to just keep on waiting and waiting for an unknown amount of time.

I am probably gonna make a small effort to include some more particle effects before the demo will be released, which shouldn't be anything complex at all. Just gotta animate some of it, maybe I'll stream it even.

The aliasing issue has been solved, now the game should look as crisp as possibly can be!

Didn't really do anything spooky in time for Halloween this year. I was busy with everything else!

I finished another drawing, which turned out to be a comic, too.
The Asshole Photo, an idea I had a while ago. It's a bit more lighthearted from the stuff I usually do.
Now I'm gonna put any more complex drawings aside for a while, I'm quite exhausted making comics...

I added in additional clothing options to the Sofi part along with doing some bug fixing and updating of various graphics... It's starting to become pretty interesting, even though I'm awful at designing and coloring things like socks and shirts. Even so, there's hopefully something for everyone in there.
I don't have a way to embed videos directly onto RC.se as it is now, so you'll have to look at it on twitter, unfortunately.

Zu now has around 80 different eye expressions. Neat, huh?
I'm not completely done with them yet, I have to do some eyebrow work and make some blinking frames, but that's not very troublesome. I'm not sure if I should proceed with Johanna's eyes after this or work on the mouth. But I think doing Jo's eyes first would make most sense.
Also, play testing and tweaking is being done with Sofi's part. There are so many things that need to be fixed, but we're making progress at least. The worst thing about this currently is an ugly aliasing issue. Hopefully we can get rid of all that stuff eventually.
There are still some things that are missing in this build, which will probably be added down another demo further down the line. Just trying to make this playable as it is is a challenge already! Always find something that's not working as intended or needs to be tweaked this way or that way.
But I gotta say, Sofi's face looks sooo much better, and she's way more expressive and talkative and customizable.
I'm not used to having so many customization options for my projects, so I find it fun to just play around with it. Hoahoa.

I was rendering a video all sunday night, so I kinda forgot to post an update. Sorry about that.
Here's another comic that was voted forward on discord.
The Sentencing of Lollo, a movie idea I've had for a while I turned into a comic instead.
I was relieved to see that a regular drawing won the poll of what to draw after this comic, only to find that the commissioner changed his mind and now wants his idea be a comic page too. Drat.
Oh well, it's a good idea, almost nostalgic for me. I'm going to enjoy making it.
Here's that new Sofi ref I've talked about earlier. I've been tweaking it a lot to get the proportions right and such, what do you think? Don't mind the colors being off at places, it is just placeholder shade tones.
Also got a piece of fan art to show today, part of a deal I made with a commissioner.

Been looking to get a demo out for the Sofi part in our new engine, or whatever we should call it. Since I've mostly been focusing on the customization, I haven't actually play tested it in a while... And while doing so, there was a whole lot of things to tweak and fix. Fallow said that none of the things were probably not too difficult to fix though, so there's that. Don't know when we can expect a release though; but we're at least getting close to something here.
I also had to try to design a main menu screen for the project... Luckily I've got some good people on my server that are way better at design than I am, so we managed to get something acceptable out of it. Now what's in front of me animation wise is only doing eye and mouth expressions. It's gonna be a lot of expressions... Lots of struggling with shape tweens. Bleh.

I believe I have a VA for both Zu and Jo now. I won't be able to get Jo's lines recorded til November though, since the VA was quite busy til then. Nonetheless, it feels good to have one settled. Should get Zu's recorded some time soon though, if things go as they should.
So, I'm at a stage where there's not really a lot of things I can do with the flash project right now. Waiting for coding, voices and music... Although I haven't heard from the music guy in months, so I don't think I'll have much luck there. Perhaps I need to look for an alternative.
There's one thing I can do though, and that is facial expressions.
I'm doing this thing again; draw a face for Zu & Jo that I might add in the game! I got a lot of faces done for Sofi, and it really made her become super expressive due to all the different ideas.

I also did some tweaking to Zu's winter clothes colors, but I don't know what color to give her hat and gloves, really.
Also updated the stats thing, just to see if it perhaps makes things more clear. I might tweak them slightly though.

So, I'm at a stage where there's not really a lot of things I can do with the flash project right now. Waiting for coding, voices and music... Although I haven't heard from the music guy in months, so I don't think I'll have much luck there. Perhaps I need to look for an alternative.
There's one thing I can do though, and that is facial expressions.
I'm doing this thing again; draw a face for Zu & Jo that I might add in the game! I got a lot of faces done for Sofi, and it really made her become super expressive due to all the different ideas.

From sickness and what not. Being sick directly after a trip really threw me off my game. Feels like I lost all of my drawing experience and I'm starting over from zero. Also been struggling with giving Zu new facial expressions in her new refs. Very frustrating.
Here's what I got currently, outside of the facial expressions, I think they're pretty much done.
I was also toying with the idea of adding some character attribute ratings to perhaps help with getting a good grasp of them. But it has also been quite difficult, with deciding what categories to include and what each term actually represents... Here's my first draft of them, I'm not sure if it is a good idea or not. But if it seems interesting, I'm all for ideas on how to improve it.
Well, I shall continue to try to get myself back in the game again. Hopefully I have something more worthwhile to share next week.

I'm sick with a cold right now, so I'm gonna keep this short.
I've been traveling a bit, so I was away from friday until yesterday, but I managed to catch a cold during it. It was constantly raining, utterly terrible.
So I'm just gonna dump some art and fan art without much fanfare here.

Finding a VA that don't chicken out on bestiality and rape themes is very difficult, which makes it really difficult to also get one that fits the voice I'm imagining Zu would have. I've got only a handful that have auditioned, but none that really sticks the role so far. Bleh.
Well, I'm late this week because I wanted to finish a drawing in time for the update, but then as I uploaded it I realised that I already had one to post. So whatever, here's two drawings!

I mentioned how I was using a new way of lipsyncing last time, ye? Well, I'm now all done with the lipsyncing. I've successfully lipsynced around probably 400 voice clips in just a few days. Pretty good, I'd say!
I might not have told you about this before, but the new version of the game won't be released as a swf; it's now an executable, and should also work with HTML5... I just need to get a new version of RC.se to support it, but that's also on its way. Thanks to all of the patrons, I'm able to hire a guy who's working on a new version of the site which will most likely be a lot more userfriendly and be worth sticking around at.
Anyway, since it's not in flash anymore, there's a lot of tweaking and optimizing that needs to be made to make sure the game runs well, and that there aren't ugly visual glitches amongst other things. It is why it's taking a long time to get this thing out, FallowWing has been working on porting flash to this new format basically singlehandedly.
We've also added a lot more customization to Sofi's part, along with fixing a lot of small issues and adding further details. A few examples are, eyebrows changing color with the hair, pube styles and being able to turn off the belly button squirt.
Here's a screenshot of what it looks currently; although we might see a lot of small changes before it's ready to be released. And I can't really say when that will be, either.
