Keepin' it really short today.
I've mostly been doing background work on various things, so not a lot to say or show.
Got so many different things to work on that it is difficult to decide what to prioritize!

Well, at least there's this life sign of me, so... I'm off to most likely figure out some particles effects stuff.

As march marches in, it seems like things are clearing up though. Sure hope so.

Anyway, I've been working on getting the scene for the Gooper Blooper remake to look presentable. It's not completely finished yet, but you can see what we're going for here.



I have to tweak and finish up some of the remaining art needed, we'll see when I get to that. I'm also trying to make some progress on the baby stuff for HHHW! There's a lot of other background stuff I need to do for it, so there's plenty of things to do.

I'll leave you with this for now, I want to get some good progress in these last days of february!

Sorry for being late again. I've had an unusual amount of things to get through these last couple of weeks, and I get easily overwhelmed. It should let up soon though.

I've been focusing mostly on trying to get the Ellie scene ready for EX to get animating. He's gonna have to get into creating scenes in flash eventually, but I have to show him how to do it most efficiently. I'm trying to get in some work on HHHW in between. Also trying to get the new Zara redesign ready as well. I'm almost done with that though! I'm just having some issues with a few outfit designs...

Got some mixed responses from the baby showcase last update.
The baby stuff will matter in the story mode, but since we need everything to be done before we can put that together, getting the baby stuff done now will also make for a fun toy to play with in the scene select. Don't worry, how it works will make sense once the story is revealed.

Sorry for the long wait. A combination of wanting everyone to see the previous announcement, doing a bit of traveling and becoming sick right after made me delay a bit longer than I wanted. I'm still sick, so I'll keep this short.

Let me show you some babies!


I've had the assets for babies done since last summer, at least the majority of it, so there's not a whole lot left when it comes to the baby graphics at all. It's mostly programming and UI design from here on out, plus some bug fixing and tiny all-around improvements.

The babies you make will be influenced by what dicks you use. It's really fun to see some of the combinations you can get. I sometimes just get stuck making new ones 'cause it amuses me. Here are some of my... favorites?

Today I have big news to share!
I am hiring an artist and animator, EXcore, to work on additional animation content while I'm still doing HHHW work.

We have already started to get the rough assets for our first project together; a remake/re-imaginening of "Gooper Blooper Returns".
We were hoping to get a bit further on this before we announced it, but January has not been kind to us. Nonetheless, we've got this WIP pose to show off for now!


We're hoping to improve and enhance the concepts and content that was in the original and make it something truly great!
With Fallow on our team, we're also hoping to make it a bit more advanced, like turning the butt view into something you could move around on screen, resize or hide, if you'd so wish. EX made a couple of concept animations for this as well!


We have even bigger plans for this project, involving remakes/re-imaginenings of other old flashes that fit the theme of aliens and the like, including projects that never got past the initial concept phase. We've put together this roadmap of our ideas and plans.

Didn't mean to, I had a bunch of errands and stuff to run and it made me forget to update. Didn't miss out on much though. I've just been doing some drawing and working on the baby stuff. There's a lot of numbers to tweak, and I'm not even half way through yet! Still, I don't think it'll take super long to get it done. At some point I should make a list of all the things that need to be done, so that I can show it to you.

Thanks for all the comments and feedback on the game by the way, we've taken a lot of it to heart and we'll see how we can improve it further! Any big changes will probably come up next update, which will be the baby update. And I shall get back to that this week. A lot of it is functional, but there's a lot of small/medium things that need to be done, so we'll see how that goes. Unsure of how long it might take. There's also various things that was asked about for the normal game that we need to do as well, so that might add to it.

Uploading the new version of the game on RC.se has been a struggle. It's so old that we're running into constant problems, being out of date and what not. My tech boys have been at it over new years though, so now it's up. Much kudos to them!

HHHW 2023 December Update

We're still taking on feedback and bug reports and such. We'll be working on fixing and tweaking things over time here.

I've been struggling with extreme brain slog this last week. I dunno what it is, but I can't stay focused on anything for more than a short while. It is very annoying, I'm getting behind on various side projects I want to finish.

I've made enough progress on one thing though, and that's a new Zara ref. I've been slightly re-designing her, and I think I've reached a stage where I'm really happy with her. The main problem I've had with her for a long time is her hair, specifically the sideburns. With the help of friends and fans we made some adjustments that were small but very impactful.
I better just show it off, so you can have a look and tell me what you think.


I think this makes her look more... Feminine and mature. I also had her colors slightly adjusted. Less yellowy hair and more blonde now. Good thing I didn't get too far on the Zara remake, since making changes will not be as painful now!

I've got some other things in store that I'm working on, but I'll save that for when I made some more progress on them.

Unfortunately, since rc.se is a pile of trash, it's having trouble accepting the upload.

There's a lot to say... But at the same time, not much to say at all.

I've waited with replying to any comments, 'cause I thought it'd be a good idea to go through them all here and now. Not sure why, but it's too late to change now anyway.

The version we released were full of bugs and oversights, even after all this time of constant fixing and patching! Is this what game dev is like? Fallow has fixed the hard crashes and such, so it should be good on the public release, but we'll have to make a bugfix release later down the line with changes based on feedback and bug reports.

I've always considered the Ellie Tier to be like a one time upgrade, you can go back down to your regular tier or cancel your sub after you've used it. But I see how it could be disappointing, I'm up for suggestions if anyone has any better ideas of how to handle this.

With continued support, I'll be able to hire another boy to work on Ellie's part as I work on the Zara part. Currently, the same boy is actually working on a new version of RC.se; we all know it's sorely needed. It's pretty close to being able to release as a version 1 build soon, probably early 2024. Once that's done, he can also get working on animation as well. That's the plan at least.
We are also planning to have yet another boy start doing animations, unrelated to HHHW. More news on that later, we're still discussing how that's gonna go.

Currently, those achievements don't seem to trigger when they should, for some reason. The mechanics behind them still do, though.

It'll be the same pose, but I'm planning on having it be much more dynamic. This is the only viable pose that works with the mechanics we're planning to implement with her. A much more responsive and expressive Zara will probably make up for the pose fatigue! Different poses are much more work than you think!

The instant breaks are always available. Not sure why'd you need a cheat menu for that.
Butt plug and tapes are already in the dick skins menu. Just click the name of the one you want to bring forward.

I hired a friend to do the backgrounds, I'm glad you think they work well! I also think they do, I'm so shitty at doing backgrounds myself.

Now that you mention it, there are no sounds for the spanking, is there? I remember having the SFX edited and ready, maybe we forgot to actually put them in...
And, well, a little bit of the character info will help figuring it out. At least for Zu&Jo, but there's at least some hints for Sofi's in there.

I asked for people to draw me expressions for Sofi's part, so that's why some look a bit out of place. That, in combination with how out of date Sofi's part is for the expression system in general, it's tough to give Sofi reactions that don't break the game or require lots of reprogramming... I sure wish it worked like it does on Zu&Jo though. I do plan on going back and changing up some of the expressions she already has though, I don't know if anyone noticed, but I added in new eye animations for her in mood a!

This isn't 3D, we can't just move the camera around in a 3D space. 2D is limited to what you see.

If you select different dick types, the RNG will scramble and you'll get a new skin.

Can you describe the "cleaning her" thing in more detail? That's not something I can reproduce.
Are you sure the moans you hear is not Lollo's moans? The Lollo skins have the female voice applied to them.


I expect more comments on bugs and feedback the public release, it's always exciting to see.

Edit: We'll probably push back the release until we've fixed some of the more severe bugs. The holidays have slowed us down some, but we'll get one out as soon as we can.

We finished much earlier than expected! The update is available for Ellie tier patrons on our Patreon!

I attempted to type up a little change log, just so you know what's changed and such;

Zu & Johanna's Zoological Zone:

- Butt Plug and Vag Tape options
- Tweaked numbers to make orgasms less frequent
- New voice clips for both Zu & Jo
- New bonus features and toggleables
- More stickers
- Few more cosmetic options
- More dick skins
- Instant breaks to skip to the girls enjoying themselves (But you have to figure out how!)

Zoo-Phobia:

- Completely re-recorded most of Sofi's voice lines, and added more lines for variety
- More cosmetic options
- Dick skins now matches the ones from Zu&Jo, you can choose which one to use
- Added some extra secrets

General:

- Improved Achievement system that will guide players to explore and understand all options
- Achievement list in the Options menu, which will give hints on how to unlock them
- Subtitles for the girls (May add for the dick lines in the future)
- Save feature, which will save things like stats and cosmetics
- Lots of background optimizations


Zara's Zany Zoolatry remains unchanged, since it's planned to be remade from the ground up.
Our next goal is to get the baby stuff working! And once that's done, it's Zara time!

I've got all the voice clips I need, now I'm just trying to get through lipsyncing as fast as I can!
If everything goes well, we might be able to squeeze out an update before christmas... But we may have to release a hotfix early next year. But it's better than nothing, ye?

Most everything but the lipsync is basically finished, so once I'm done with that I'm hoping Fallow will be able to ship the game real quick before the business of the holidays sets in.

We even managed to squeeze in an upgrade to the achievement system, so that things will be explained as you play, and you can look up a list in the options menu to see what you need to do to unlock something, and what that option does.

Been putting all my focus on this the last week or so, so I don't have anything else to show for.

I'll have to draw something back that isn't a shitty MS Paint sketch. I just can't get used to digital drawing. It hurts.

I've also experimented a bit with some more dick skins, considering adding fancy details like small particle effects that surround certain skins. I'm saving those for the update after though, 'cause it's still in the very early stages and it's only partly working for a single dick right now. Got some screenshots here for you:


Dick on the right here has the particles, it looks pretty cool in motion, but it still needs a bit more tweaking to get to how I want it to look. I'll leave it as is for now though.








As you can see, I've added in some winter themed skins amongst others here. Thanks to a friend of mine, we've been able to make them look pretty cool and vibrant!! My colorsense is absolute garbage due to my color blindness, but I can still appreciate a good color selection when applied like this. I just can't pick them out myself.

There's a total of 98 skins right now.

And if we're able to add some particles to some of them, they'll stand out even more!
Now I'm gonna go and add the horse skins into Sofi's part as well. It is most painful because of primitive her part is built in comparison to Zu&Jo, but it's gotta be done!

There's actually snow here in december for once, and it hasn't melted away... yet. Maybe this'll be a rare year where the snows stays all thorough the holiday season?! I would like that.

Well, I've used this downtime to catch up on commissions and art trades n' stuff. I'm waiting for reply for the last option on the list to actually get that commission going... In the meantime, doing requests, trades and gift art that've been piling up as well. It never ends.
I've been told that Sofi voice clips should arrive sometime this week. So once I get those, I'll be returning to set that up along with other small bullshit stuff that needs to be done.

I'm expecting the Sofi voices some time next week as well, and once I get that stuff sorted out, I'll be streaming the last of the lipsyncing stuff. After that it's mostly just... Bug fixes and stuff. I'll probably wait adding some extra flair stuff together with the baby update.

Oh yea, and I got some audio recordings from Yulia for the contest prize winners, so I gotta go through that as well.
Winner basically won a little bonus Rock n' Raz animation, which I'll have to do some time after the update release.
But ya, we'll see what the situation looks like next sunday!!

So it looks like we might be aiming for a December release, without any baby stuff. Fallow's going on a trip so he won't be able to do any work on the project for the next two weeks, and during that time, I'm hoping to get some more Sofi clips I ordered. Turns out mixing the old clips with the new ones didn't work out at all; the difference in quality and personality are too stark. And, I added some additional voice lines for specific conditions and the naming schemes got all messed up, so that's something I gotta look in to as well. Bleh.

Well, I'll keep you updated on that as well. Let's check some art work that was done by both me and others.

Well, I have a couple of screenshots of some things that I posted on the RC.se discord server.

First, here's what the subtitles look like currently. Somebody that has full color vision could tell me if they are readable or not. I tried to use colors from their character design to make 'em a bit more personal, not sure if it turned out all that great.


I don't know if this was in the previous update, but you can make the girls piss themselves. I recently updated the graphics for it, it used to consist of just circles before, but I didn't think that looked so good, so I changed it to a more consistent stream type.

Was gonna write an update this morning, but I did some work on the game and forgot to do it. I finished the task and now I'm typing though!

Let's see, what happened since last week's update? I finished Jo's lipsync for the time being and transcribed all of her voicelines into text for the subtitles.

Added an experimental option; Mascara trails.



As you can see, it's kinda difficult to line up, since their eyes change shape so much! I'm not sure if I should keep this in or not yet.


I still have Sofi stuff to lipsync and subtitle, which I'll do as soon as I get the last voice clips from her VA, should get 'em today.
Other than that, I don't really think there's... All that much left to do? At least, if we're doing the baby update separately. Which is probably what I'm gonna aim for. Fallow's going on a little break for two weeks in december, so if we don't manage to push out an update by then, I might be able to make some more progress on the baby stuff during that time. A lot of it is mainly coding stuff though, so I guess we'll see. Aiming for the baby update to come next, at least.

I'll know more by next week, obviously.

I finally finished up the Chen & Ran commission, sure am relieved to finally have that done. Of course the next things on the list are more comics...

I promised to show a preview of the baby thing a while ago, but I kinda forgot. There is still a few things left to get through before it is complete, but here's a little sneak peek I suppose.

I'm also streaming the lipsync progress again on Picarto; Rock Candy on Picarto - of you're interested in seeing and hearing the process. I don't really have a schedule for it, so you'll have to hope you're free when I decide to start I suppose.

I got the voice files from the stand-in VA, finally! Now let's see if we can crank out an update before 2024.
I may or may not save the baby stuff for a later update depending on how quick things go. There's still quite a lot of things to do to finish all that up. Gotta make different facial expressions for the girls and some basic mouth animations and also make sure that there's no wonk with the system in general.

But for now, it's a lot of lipsync that I gotta do.
The OG Jo VA said she wants to do the rest of the script when she recovers too, so that's good news for the future! Means a bunch of additional lipsync in the future, but it'll be worth it I think.

Well then, I gots lot of lipsync to get through, some Zu lines that I put on hold, half of Jo's script and a lot of Sofi of lines as well, I've almost replaced all of her old voice clips with new ones at this point.

What's left after that? I don't know, not much I think. It'll come up when I get there, but I'll keep you updated.
