I put off writing a news post because I was extremely tired last sunday, then I forgot about it or procastinated it.
There's not a lot to say anyway. Mittsies started so small on it, but lost steam on it, so I'm not sure when he'll pick it back up. It'd be neat to have another guy who knew actionscript who isn't as busy with Mittsies around. With my new patreon money, I could even throw some cash at him.

I put my sadness of not being able to get this done on time into making a new Rock n' Raz. It'll probably be done by sunday.
I keep getting new ideas to add to the Lollo flash too, in form of bonus animations, though I'm not sure if it wise to act on these impulses. It's very tempting. But I think I'll just focus on finishing up drawings for now. I've got a bunch of sketches I've neglected to finish for some time now.

Also working on a little comic with story and actions decided via requests on my discord server.

It's been up and down with these voicers for the missing voicelines. I've got two people on it, so whoever delivers first I'll use. We're using some placeholder audio until then. It feels great to have the coding started though. I have no idea how long it'll take, Mittsies is hating me as usual because I always make such complicated, tedious or weird functions, hoahoa. But it's moving forwards again, hooray! I'll have to throw together some sort of main menu, man do I suck at those!

Here's something else for that Zu flash perhaps. Something anyone never ever asks for, a Zu titjob!

I should really finish up more drawings, but I'm not feeling it right now. Blegh. I've been really frustrated about the voice thing lately.

Not counting coding that is. All I need now is those last damn voice people to get their stuff recorded, then I can slap those in there and get it ready for coding and release. Grah. They still won't reply.

I'm not sure what I should spend my time on while I wait. It's either make a silly trailer for the flash, make another Rock n' Raz or draw or make some other misc stuff I should do. Can't decide.

Anyway, have a WIP of a flash collab in progress. It's gonna be a short but sweet thing!


Meryiel, my collaborator, hasn't worked in flash before, so we shall see how it turns out! It's Zu getting dicked, so it can't be bad.

Well, I'm just hoping I get a reply from my voice people soon. I'm really excited for what people will think of my flash.

Man, did february just fly by. Only two characters remain unvoiced, and I'm still waiting for the voice actors to record their lines. They've said they're going to get 'em done soon though, so they better. One was in the middle of moving, and the other was very self-critical of their effort when I asked.

I even recorded new lines and moans for Lollo during the week, replacing some of the old stuff and adding some completely new stuff. They'll be included in some minor additional features that'll make the thing a bit more fun to play through. I also was able to give better directions for the moaning this time around, since I've had a lot of time to think about how I want it. So that's always something positive. Now I have something to do with the project again, so I'm happy.

Before that, I gathered a bunch of game footage of me and my friends playing various games and either coming across glitches or saying stupid things, resulting in this hours long video:



You'll probably want to know swedish to want to watch it though. But I thought I'd throw it up here anyway, since it's still something I made. And I got to try out video editing. Sure wasn't easy to do the simple things I wanted to do...

Anyway, I still believe I'll get those last voicelines soon. Until then, I'll do some more lipsyncing.

Recordings are starting to drop in, finally, though I'm still lacking a few. But I'm getting closer, at least, and that's always positive. I've got two characters left that needs voice, and I'm just waiting for them to deliver at this point, so there's none that is empty, at least.

I'm not sure what happened this week. Things sort of... happened. I managed to squeeze out one drawing, but this long wait is starting to get to me. I need to work on something flash related again soon.

Since the voicers are taking their sweet time, I've spent most of the time drawing stuff.
Putting so much focus on the voices seems to have been a big mistake, and I'll be sure not to repeat this mistake for future projects. Blah.

I hate how everything needs to take so long every damn time. It is really frustrating.
After I'm done with the Lollo flash, I've decided to release the parts of the farm project which are watchable in beta mode, where they don't have sound and miss a few features, but still are complete enough for a decent experience. It'll be for the best, I think. Then there's not as much pressure on me, and I can focus on making the rest of it real good too.

I think most of us will be happy with this. I get to show of some of my animation early, you'll get something to jerk to and then when it's all complete it'll be a nice big release with all of the features included.

Anyway, I spent a lot of tonight to finish up these drawings, so good night!

I wish I could say I've gotten the last of the voiceclips needed for the flash, but the voiceactors have all been absent. Because of course they are. Why wouldn't they, when I need them?

Well well, I've done very good progress with the flash now. Pretty much the only thing left now are some sound synced animations for Lollo which I need to be re-recorded because they didn't fit the tone, finding voices for two remaining characters, get some sound effects and then it can be coded together. At least I think so, because I can't really come up with anything else I need to do with it, hoahoa.

So if all goes well, I'm hoping for a release in Februrary.

I've been making some good progress with the Lollo flash, working on various expressions for the thing. It's pretty much the only thing I've been doing, so have a few images of some examples for today's update:












Definitely feels like I'm getting close to the end here. I'll probably have the animations needed done by the end of january, the rest is finding some girls for voiceacting the remaining two female characters and coding.

Sorry about the late update. I forgot what day it was, my sleep pattern has turned pretty bad as of late.

I'm getting closer to finishing up the lipsync stuff though! Only a few things left to lipsync, then I can go ahead and animate the remaining eye animations. Feels good!

What a great start of the year. After our New Year's fun times, I got sick. I still am, but am at least recovering. Not really how I imagined 2018 to begin, I was hoping to jump into it being productive but apparently I am not allowed to have such luck, huff.

Sorry for updating so late, I was spending New Year's and the day after that at Raz's place. My sleeping habits became worse than usual, and I've been pretty tired. Gotta get me some rest before I start up my drawing and animating again. I've got a funeral to attend to on friday too, which needs me to be up early in the morning, so perhaps that'll set me back on track again.

I wonder what my first drawing of the year shall be? Anyone got any ideas?! I'm thinking maybe a row of catgirl butts...

The next update will probably not be on the next sunday since I'll most likely be out doing New Year's stuff, but I'll update soon after.

I've actually almost finished batch 2 out of 3 in my Lollo lipsyncing thing too. Just one more, which I'll finish tomorrow. Then january will be spent doing the last voiceclips, animating the eyes and then finally coding all of it together. Oh, and finding some voices for the remaining two girl characters, since those who volunteered never came back to me... Bleh.

Anyway, I'm real tired now, so I'mma head to bed, hoahoa!

I doubt I'll manage to finish the flash this year, hoahoa. Since this is an oral themed flash, I wanted to put a lot of emphasis on the mouth movement. So far I've made 10 lines out of I think around 35 or something. So it'll be a little while before I've finished them all. I also gotta make some fitting eye animations to them as well, but that shouldn't take too long.

I'll do my best though. If it isn't done in january, then I don't know what.

Well, since all of that is over and done with... I suppose I'll have to do something else. The sketch I showed last week of Zu and the jackal hasn't been fixed yet, but I think I know another thing I could do... But I think I'll keep it a surprise for the time being.

And November has already almost passed? What the fuck? I thought it had just begun. All of this waiting is making me feel a bit down, I guess. I got a date to record new lines, but it was canceled last second. Now I don't know when I can get another chance. Bleh. I said I was going to make another loop too, ya? Well, I was going to use another artist's work as reference, but I wasn't really happy with how the Zu turned out. I tried to fix it myself, but I'm really shit with digital arts, and was unable to fix it myself. This is what the sketch looks like, and as you can see, Zu is very off-model.
I've asked for some help with fixing it up, but my art friends are all busy with their own stuff, so I haven't been able to start it up just yet.

My fingers can't rest when I have nothing to work on though. I've been sketching some, but haven't felt like cleaning any drawings up yet. I did however start sketching up a Rock n' Raz 7, so there's that to look forward to at least!

But enough depression, let me show off some art and a collab I've done!

And to answer some questions about the flash and the voiceacting you've had: No, I can't release the flash without voices, since I need them to sync up animations for certain parts, and I don't want to release it in such a state. I know you might would want to see it as soon as possible without them and such, but you've got to be patient. I'm not delaying it on purpose, I'm also frustrated about not being able to finish it up. Releasing it unfinished would not make me feel good. I'm always extremely anxious when releasing a flash, so releasing it with missing parts would not help with that. And besides, if you knew what it looked like before those final things were added, I feel like it would ruin the experience of playing through the full thing. I really care about my projects, I put a lot of effort into them.

I'm not sure if my ramblings cleared anything up, I've always been pretty bad at expressing myself.
Anyway, I'm off to bed for now. We'll see what happens next week.
