I'm doing game creation, some of which is with Adobe Flash and ActionScript, so what I'm about to say is through experience. If you personally have Adobe Flash Player, which you do as a part of Adobe Flash Professional or Animate, you're able to run the things you make through it and, by clicking on File and Create Projector, make an Exe file of it. You're also able to do the same with the things you've made, if you don't have the source, but do have the SWF. So you're able to keep doing things with Adobe Flash for as short/long as you wish to and make all of what's old/new continue to run for people.
