Yes of course! It has a key frame system and a sprite sheet system for 2D animations. If you need help with anything Unity just pop me an email, I'll be more than glad to show you the ropes.

Ah, no they are not exactly the same. For one, there's no drawing canvas in Unity, so your process would require going back and forth a little between whatever you're using for your canvas (flash cs6 or whatever) and porting that animation sprite set into unity. If sprite sheets turn you off well there is also a free plugin that converts .swf animation files into unity (.gaf format) available on Unity's asset store. I have a bunch of links if you're interested to get into it, or if you just wanna see what it looks like you can send me a .swf animation and I'll throw it into a unity webgl demo for you.

I would need to see how it works out myself. I'm not entirely convinced right now. I mean, there's a bunch of flashes on here you could try to convert, hoahoa.
