I still think my artstyle back then was pretty awful.

Awful? Nope. More cartoonish? Yes. The char designs were already on par with a lot of cartoons I used to watch as a kid.

Cartoonish sure, but still pretty ugly. The artstyle I had back then just wasn't very appealing.

Why do you think it's ugly? Is it because you have much better skills nowadays, and feel like the older versions are subpar to what you can draw now? Or something else? I like both versions, the new style is much more detailed and is much better suited for illustrating people doing stuff, but the older one has that cartoonish charm that somehow makes me feel nostalgic. Actually, it would be interesting to see current Zu giving really old distressed crying Zu her favourite plushie (or her favourite butt plug, since it's RC), just to see how old Zu would look like with your current skills.

I think it is ugly because the artstyle is bulky, unrefined and same-facey. And the face isn't even good looking. There are a lot of other problems with it too but I'm too tired to fo into details. I'm not really sure what you mean by that last thing. Zu is still Zu?

Ah, I see. I mean the current adult Zu interacting with her younger self, who is drawn the old "ugly" way, to showcase the difference between them.
