It seems like Butt Bus work file made it out OK. I assume everything else made it out without a scratch as well. So now I just have to re-install windows and programs and such things. Lucky me!
I'm glad to hear interest in the Butt Bus too. I don't want to answer any questions, since I don't want to reveal too much about it. This is going to be quite a large scale project, so it will be a long wait; this is just the beginning of what's going to be in it.
Don't worry, I'll be makin' some short stuff in between as well.

Oh well, seems I was too late to assist. For the future, it might be a good idea to keep a live-CD of an OS for data recovery (I highly recommend a Puppy Linux distro; PupRescue Precise is especially great for data recovery). All you have to do is boot into Puppy and copy your stuff to a backup drive.

The problem there Sholum is that the NTFS partition table on his primary OS drive was corrupted. I had him boot into Debian Live for diagnostics and the drive was inaccessible.
We ended up using TestDisk to pull the data off raw onto another drive
