Hype is the result of providing deadlines then failing to meet them. Granted, these aren't hard deadlines, more like ball park figures but you'd be the cause if there is a lot of hype. The thing with announcing progress is that people normally associate that with "almost done", and given that you've suggested that repeatedly it's only natural for people to start channeling frustration in to expectation. Perhaps consider announcing finished projects, or finding outsourced work in the future.

Outsorced work? It's been "almost done" for quite some time, as in I've not recieved the stuff I need to finish it. Waiting is painful for me too.

The indefinite waiting you're subjected to is the result of not being strict with your content providers. For example voice work, if they want to contribute then great, but if they're asking you to wait for X days then keep your options open and look elsewhere. The code required for projects of your scope is surely incredibly basic, I suggest again that you take a day or two to familiarise yourself with AS3. This will reduce your external content waiting to media assets.

Actually, the reason it took so long is because the coding was incredibly complex, and it was too much for many of the people who tried who also had their daily lifes to take care of. Right now, I'm waiting for music and arts. The coding is practically done.

I can't imagine that the code would be complex unless your document was designed against accommodating it, I'll reevaluate this after release. However the statement about content providers still holds true, I'm not sure why you've chosen to focus so much on the code and its completion when I meant all content including voice work and of course music/art. All media falls under content. Unless there's some advanced playback engine or interactivity involved, code should be something you handle.

I don't want to appear too strict or naggy I guess. I tried my best to get arts from previous artguy for over 6 months, but in the end he ultimately let me down. I had to ask another guy to start from scratch recently. Music fell under the same circumstances as the coding, several people wanted to make, but failed either to broken harddrives or personal reasons. I can barely code a button, so doing all the crazy stuff this flash involves is impossible for me.

Oh right, you tried multiple sources and they fell through? That sucks. I was under the impression you were just really patient, so when you posted "nearly" it would have been misleading but now it makes sense. Finding reliable sources is definitely not easy, especially when you're looking for diverse, quality assets. Good luck attaining these in the future. As for coding, fair enough, but avoiding the problem won't make development any easier. Learn by example or take some tutorials.

Whoa this guy who goes by no name sounds like a huge jerk! rocks making content for free, and if he wants to take his time then let him, hes got a life you know! and sometimes content IS harder to make, i myself write electro music and sometimes it can take months just to get a slight idea and work at it. so unless youre capable of writing AS3, composing and voice acting, i suggest you STFU and let the man work! and look at konashions blog, hes been gone for a year!

Yeh, I've had lots of bad luck with this project. Anyway I've asked Mittsies to help me out by "teaching" me some scripting. I'm really slow in the head when it comes to codes and numbers, so it's not as easy as just go learn it for me personally.

While you're at it, he should do music for you. He'll grind out like 7 music choices out for you in like 10 min cuz he's next-level as fuuuck.
