I play Saints Row 3 ALL the time, and I don't give a shit about killing pedestrians because of the following reasons: 1. No personality to speak of. 2.They respawn sooner or later after killing them, so it doesn't really matter what happens to them. Zu however: She HAS a backstory, and a personality, she's cute, and DOES NOT deserve all of the shit that's thrown at her, and...well...to me, she quite interesting. Get my point here?

I can make a game where you abuse Zu and she respawns after a while. Would it make you less unhappy for her?
